Welcome to GenReply ("we," "our," or "us"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring you understand how your information is handled. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application (the "App").

By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

Information We Collect

Photo Library Access

Our App requires access to your device's photo library to allow you to upload screenshots of conversations for analysis.

• How it works: When you select an image, it is processed locally on your device and then transmitted securely to our third-party AI provider (OpenAI) for analysis.
• Storage: We do not permanently store your images on our servers. Images are retained only for the brief duration necessary to generate the analysis and reply suggestion.

Usage Data

We collect anonymous usage data to improve our service and manage the free credit system.

• Data Collected: Generation counts, credit balance, last recharge time, subscription status, and anonymous user identifiers.
• Storage: This data is stored securely in Google Firebase Firestore.
• Personal Information: We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or contact list.

Authentication

We use anonymous authentication to provide a seamless experience without requiring you to create an account with personal credentials.

• Method: We use Firebase Anonymous Authentication to assign a unique, random identifier to your device. This allows us to track your credit balance and subscription status without knowing your identity.

Third-Party Services

We use trusted third-party services to operate our App. These services may collect information used to identify your device.

• OpenAI API: We use OpenAI to analyze the text within your uploaded screenshots and generate reply suggestions. OpenAI Privacy Policy

• Apple StoreKit: All financial transactions for subscriptions are handled directly by Apple. We do not process or store your credit card or billing information.

Credit System

GenReply offers 5 free reply generations per day. Credits recharge automatically at a rate of 1 credit per hour, up to a maximum of 5 credits. We store your credit balance and recharge timestamps in Firebase to manage this system.

Push Notifications

If you enable push notifications, we may send you alerts when your credits have recharged. We use Firebase Cloud Messaging to deliver these notifications. You can disable notifications at any time in your device settings.

Data Retention

• Images: Images are not stored permanently. They are discarded immediately after the analysis is returned to your device.
• Usage Data: Anonymous usage logs (e.g., generation counts, credit balances) are retained to provide the service.
• Subscription Data: Your subscription status is retained for as long as your subscription is active to ensure you have access to premium features.

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your data:

• Right to Deletion: You may request the deletion of your anonymous user ID and associated usage data by contacting us.
• Right to Cancel: You may cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID settings.
• Access: You have the right to request information about the data we hold about you.

Children's Privacy

Our App is rated 4+ but is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will immediately delete this from our servers.

Security

We value your trust in providing us your information and strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect it. All data transmission uses industry-standard encryption (HTTPS/TLS). However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
